Saturday...

Yesterday started out to be quite a promising day.  Carly had work from 10-5 while I had a group project on Campus to do from 10-1 and then I was going to donate Plasma.  The weather was absolutely perfect; for the first time in weeks, it was bright and sunny.  You didn't even have to wear a large coat outside, just a sweater!....But as things would have it...everything changed.
About 10 minutes after having been dropped off at BYU, I got a call from Carly.  The next 7 words I heard almost gave me a heart attack: "I just got into a car accident!"  I never want to hear that phrase again...knock on wood, yeah, I know.
So anyways, Carly was physically okay, as well as the other driver(I was SO glad to hear this!). It was just a simple mistake and Carly rear ended a car.  The funny part was this...the other car has basically no damage, but ours got owned! I just don't understand how that happens with cars.  You can check out the damage below...

-The radiator and the compression pump were smashed in as well as the other physical damage you can see from the picture...
-We are still waiting to hear back from the body shop   the estimate of when it will be done and what actually was damaged internally.

-Her car only had damage to the bumper as you can see...luckily our insurance will cover all of this...a bumper for the 2010 Civic would cost around $500 from a junk yard...imagine brand new...ouch.

-At least we learned a pretty good lesson that day: It's good we had a decent insurance policy...it really saved us this time.

It's official: Christmas is a comin!

So we decided that in order to celebrate Christmas the correct way, we needed a real tree!  I have grown up using the fake ones, so i decided to start our first Christmas together doing it right!
(we didn't have any rope so i decided to try my strength...it was a bit cold that way)

It was tough to find the right color of lights. i think we checked 4 places with no luck until we finally got the red and white we wanted!
At first, Carly didn't want to use the Hat on top(she thinks Christmas is not supposed to be supporting Santa). but i convinced her that the hat was worn by me when i was born, so it is supporting me, not Santa! ha ha.  I think this will be a new tradition instead of the star.

To Be Or Not To Be...A Model!

Our cousin Krystal has been wanting to expand her portfolio to weddings! So we decided to model for her...and we loved it! She is a great photographer and made the whole process not only fun, but the pictures were amazing!  The below images are raw, unedited and you can already see how good they are!
You can check her stuff out at http://www.sparklesphotography.blogspot.com/

The Regularity of Life...

So we've been moved into our little place for a little over a month now, and it seems that things are finally settling down to being, well, as normal as life can be. Carly is so excited to be done with school, she's been at it for almost an entire year! Her last day is technically on the 21st of this month, but her most important day is going to be on the 11th; State Board Practical Exam!!! I know she will do well and i'm excited for her. I guess the only hard part about it is that its in Ogden!...thats quite a drive, but oh well, gotta do what you gotta do right?
Next Friday the 8th, I will be getting my first pay check since my surgery last June! It's really nice to be back into a job being able to provide for my beautiful wife! Now we just need to figure out who gets the car to take to work! I think i'll just get a buss pass, since she goes further.
Other than that, we are just working and having a blast being married. Life's good, that's all I can really say. Until next time!

Today i also had my second interview at Sewell Direct and got the job! waiting almost 3 weeks to get a job isn't the best, but i'm really excited about it, they will let me work 40 hours/week until i start school again in January, then i will go part time! Our life here in Provo as a young married couple is finally coming together! we are way excited to finally be able to pay off our debts and save money!

Carly passed her written state boards!!!

So last Wednesday the 15th, Carly took her written State Board exam and aced it! I am so excited for her and know she will do great on the practical coming up in a few weeks! I surprised her that night with a special "blue" dinner; a blue dining set which we only use when celebrating. For dinner I made a four cheese chicken wrap that turned out great! (except i failed in that Carly doesn't like spinach...ha ha)
And of course, I had to pick up a bouquet of flowers as well:)

Wedding Festivities

We got married on August 13th, 2010 in the Las Vegas Temple. It was a beautiful day with a scorching heat of 107! Luckily, we survived. Having all of our family and friends come to support us and share in that amazing stepping stone in our lives meant the world to us.
We had a reception that night at John's parents' house, it was so much fun! A night full of love and dancing!

Thank you to all those who contributed to and shared in our special day! It was the happiest day of our lives by far. We love you all!
